Kayal didn’t start as a business.It started as a feeling
I grew up in Sirkazhi — a place where the smell of fresh fish, the waves, and simple home-cooked meals shaped everything I learned about honest food.
My journey began as a teacher, but life led me back to the sea. During the COVID years, I stepped into aquaculture and became one of the first women in Tamil Nadu to work in Biofloc fish farming. Soon, I began training farmers, students, and women entrepreneurs — helping them build clean, sustainable fish farms of their own.
Through all these experiences, one thought stayed with me:
“எங்க ஊரு சுத்தமான மீன் சுவை… நம்பிக்கையோட எல்லாரும் சாப்பிடணும்.”
Kayal was born from that belief — to offer families clean, honest, Sirkazhi-made seafood, prepared with the same care I use at home.

How long does it take to process an order?
We usually process orders within 1 business day.
Most orders placed before 12 PM are packed the same day.
Since we prepare everything in small batches and pack dry fish with extra care, we make sure the product is sealed, clean, and ready for safe delivery.
Delivery Time:

How is the dry fish cleaned and prepared?
All our dry fish is cleaned by hand, sun-dried naturally, and checked carefully before packing.
We do not use any artificial preservatives, colours, or chemicals.Every batch is prepared in small quantities, just like a home kitchen — washed, dried, roasted (where needed), and sealed for freshness.
How long will the dry fish stay fresh after delivery?
Our dry fish stays fresh for 6–9 months when stored properly.
For best results:
- Keep the pack tightly sealed
- Store in a cool, dry place
- Refrigerate after opening for extra freshness
Since our products are naturally dried, they stay good for months without preservatives.
What should I do if my order is damaged or leaking?
If your order arrives damaged, leaking, or with any issue:
contact us immediately with a photo or video.We will assist you right away and make sure the problem is resolved.

How do you pack the products for safe delivery?
All products are packed in air-tight, food-grade pouches to maintain hygiene and freshness.
Each pack is then placed in a secure box with extra protection to prevent leakage or damage during transit.
We pack with the same care we use for our own home.
